Negative Pressure Massage Cupping For Women

What is Massage Cupping?
Jen has offered Negative pressure Massage Cupping since 2008. She applies various sized silicone devices, or cups, to the client’s skin. Cupping is an ancient art form and has been used by healers in Chinese Medicine for 1000’s of years. Cups have been made out of glass, plastic, metal and even bamboo.
Jen primarily uses flexible, silicone cups that are able to access hard to reach tissue around bones & joints. The cups can be placed and left stationary to clear congestion/move Chi or moved to “massage” various tissues. Because the cups have a “negative pressure” effect, or can pull tissue away from the bones, it has the unique ability to separate stuck or twisted fascial layers in way that more compressive massage modalities cannot provide.
Receiving Massage Cupping is helpful in reducing congestion, pain, & inflammation and promoting blood flow, relaxation & general well-being, It can be a great tool for reducing edema after surgery and unwinding fascia/connective tissue, soften or eliminate scar tissue and bonus, reduce cellulite! See all benefits below.

What are the benefits of Massage Cupping?
1. Improves Circulation
The suction from the cups helps to increase blood flow in the targeted area, which can promote healing, reduce muscle stiffness, and alleviate tension. This improved circulation can aid in muscle recovery after exercise or injury.
2. Relieves Muscle Tension and Pain
The vacuum effect of the cups helps to pull the skin and muscles upward, which can relieve tightness and discomfort in sore muscles. This can be particularly effective for chronic pain, such as in the back, neck, or shoulders.
3. Reduces Inflammation
By increasing blood flow and lymphatic circulation, cupping therapy can help reduce inflammation and flush out toxins from the body. This is especially beneficial for individuals with conditions like arthritis or muscle strain.
4. Promotes Relaxation
Like other forms of massage, cupping can trigger the parasympathetic nervous system (the "rest and digest" mode), which helps to reduce stress and promote relaxation. It can help calm anxiety and encourage a sense of well-being.
5. Enhances Lymphatic Drainage
Cupping therapy is thought to stimulate the lymphatic system, which helps the body to eliminate waste products and toxins more efficiently. This detoxifying effect can improve overall health and vitality.
6. Breaks Up Scar Tissue and Adhesions
Cupping can be beneficial for individuals with scar tissue or fascia restrictions (like in cases of post-surgery or chronic injury). The suction helps to break up adhesions and promote better tissue mobility, leading to increased range of motion.
7. Improves Skin Health
Cupping therapy is sometimes used to treat conditions like acne or cellulite. The improved blood circulation and the massage-like action can help nourish the skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite by breaking down fat deposits and improving skin tone.
8. Aids in Digestive Health
Certain points on the back and abdomen are targeted to promote better digestion. Cupping can help to relieve bloating, constipation, and other digestive issues by stimulating blood flow to the digestive organs.
9. Helps with Respiratory Issues
Cupping can be used to help with respiratory conditions like bronchitis or asthma. The suction helps clear congestion by loosening mucus in the chest and promoting better airflow in the lungs.
10. Increases Flexibility
By releasing muscle tightness and improving circulation, cupping can improve flexibility, especially for athletes or individuals with muscle stiffness from physical activities.
11. May Promote Emotional Well-Being
Some people find that cupping helps them feel more grounded and balanced, potentially improving mental clarity and emotional health by reducing stress and tension in the body.
